Many Catholics Support Marriage Equality

On Saturday November 3rd at 6:30 pm Light Brigade Maryland met up with Catholics for Marriage Equality Street in Baltimore Maryland. As the election approaches on Tuesday the polls are tight and excitement is growing. Maryland could very possibly be the first state to vote on a referendum ballot to approve the marriage between lesbian and gay couples. This vote will end the anti-marriage mantra that no state has ever voted in favor of marriage inclusion. The tide seems to be turning!

The following photos we taken by a vaiety of photographers and each of they retain copy right on their work.

Light Brigade Maryland in Lahnam Maryland

Another Saturday night hanging out over a busy highway, Light Brigade Maryland brings a hopeful message reminding motorists to "VOTE FOR 6". Marriage Equality is about about fairness to all Maryland families.

After pulling the panels from the truck and organizing our message we walked the two blocks to the bridge on Whitfeild Chapel Road over US rte 50 in Prince Georges County.

Traffic on the highway was relatively heavy. My quick calculated guess was about 5 cars per second, which amounts to 300 cars per minutes. so in the hour and a half we stood on the bridge sidewalk our message was available to almost 3000 cars.

Vote for Question 6, civil marriage protection act, same-sex, marriage equality, freedom to marry, marylanders, for, marriage, equality,
Havre de Grace - On the Bridge at MD155 over Interstate 95 Light Brigade Maryland (LBM) sent a message last night to all the passing motorists traveling on the northbound side of the highway. Their message read, “Vote For Marriage Equality.” This is an effort to bring awareness to the referendum Question No. 6. When this measure passes it will allow gay and lesbian couples the right to get a state-issued marriage license. This group promotes the idea that a “Vote for Question 6” is a vote for fairness and equality.

Light Brigade Maryland, has occupied three different bridges and Federal Hill overlooking Baltimore’s Inner Harbor. LBM have plans to bring the message to Maryland voters once or twice a week until the November election.

Light Brigade Maryland Debuts in Towson Maryland

A group of Civil Marriage Act supporters gathered for a "bridge party" Thursday night, August 16, 2012 in Towson, Maryland on Dulaney Valley Road over the Baltimore Beltway. Excitement was palpable among the group and with drivers as they tooted their horns in support.

The Civil Marriage Protection Act will be on the ballot on the November 6th election as a referendum issue.

A vote "for" will keep the law in place.

If you are interested in future bridge parties please visit the Facebook page.
